Its already August... Summer where did you go? Ooh Yeah!! You were NEVER HERE!! At least not in Homer.

Its been raining here allot, and I haven't been too fond of it. I know that Anchorage has seen a little more sun then us- but oh well!

Ruben is now TWO! I cannot believe we have a 2 year old... where did the time go? I look back on the last two years, and wow! Sandor and I have done some moving, and job changing, and we had another baby! We had Rubens birthday down here in Homer. We had over 30 people there to help us celebrate!! We had good food, and fun! It was a rock-n-roll theme, and my girlfriend Jen made Ruben this AWESOME guitar cake!! It not only looked good, it was SO YUMMY!!

Asher is 6 months and rolling around everywhere and jibber-jabbering. He still has those big, BLUE eyes that just melt ya:) He is such a character. Much more loud, and direct then Ruben was at his age. I think Asher might be my spunky boy!!
Ruben and Asher are getting interested in each other more and more. Its fun to watch Ruben try to play with Asher. Asher can just laugh, and laugh at his big brother! I'm not sure if that will be a good thing when Ruben is trying to show-off and be bigger and better!! That laugh might encourage dangerous actions later in life:)

Sandor is still plugging away for Scotts Services! He is still trying to come down as much as possible, and its worked out. He is still welcome at my families house- so he must be doing some good, haha!

I am working away!! I think being a Momma AND having a somewhat exhausting job is hard work... I can tell I get a workout every day because this baby weight is dropping fast!! That's a plus:)

I was just in Anchorage for a week to be with my best friend Kristin... definitely not a trip I was looking forward to, but I was there in a heartbeat to comfort my friend. She had lost her little brother, he was 18, just like Dustin. So going through all that brought back many emotions and memories I usually try to not dwell on. With the circumstances and the fact that it hit close to home was difficult to deal with. I knew Keith, and had known him for YEARS, so it was hard with that alone. Going through all the phases with Kristin reminded me of everything that my family went through when we lost Shobi and Dustin.
Its been 4 years this December. Really! Has it already been 4 years?? My heart broke just at the thought of Kristin and her family having to experience all the pain that comes with losing flesh and blood. Something I would never wish on anyone, and yet it happens to my best friend?! I was angry at first, I won't lie. I was broke for her.
And to add to all that was going on, my family was in Idaho. That was hard!! The ones that I can confide in, because they understand what I'm feeling, was not there!
I really wanted for that one last time to see Dustin smile, and give him a hug. Although I know I'd be hugging sticks, haha, I would still want to. To hear that laugh!! Deep in me, I still have an unspeakable pain.
I miss Shobi SO much. To smell her, and hold her again... She has a vivid place in my thoughts and heart.

Walking through the doors at the church the day of the memorial was gut-wrenching. I really didn't want to be there, but I was there for Kristin and the family. I actually really have wanted to stay away from things like this since Shobi and Dustin's funeral. I haven't even been back to their grave site since we buried them. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that yet. Watching the casket go down made my knees buckle, so going back might not be the best thing yet.

I know that Keith lived a life for Christ!! I know that I will see him, along with Dustin and Shobi again!! I praise God that Kristin has the same hope in Christ, that has allowed me to survive losing my daughter and brother. Trust me, my heart still hurts, and what I wouldn't do or give to have them both here- but Christ has healed, and continues to heal.

The process will never be over for me. I will grieve, and I will miss them. But its not destroying me. Its not breaking me down, to where I can't function. I can focus on the promise that this is not my home, and Keith, Dustin and Shobi are waiting for me. Jesus Christ is holding my heart, and comforts my soul. Even when I feel as if a wound was ripped open... But that's the amazing love of Christ. To comfort and carry the heavy burden. The burden of sin. That's how I know that I will be in Heaven. Because of what Christ did on the cross. The Gospel is the ONLY hope people can have. Not that Jesus will take the pain away, because the pain is still there and its sometimes unbearable. Not that Jesus will make it all better, because its not, Keith, Shobi, and Dustin haven't come back. Its only because Jesus took my burden of SIN!! He conquered death and I have an intimate relationship with HIM!!

That's my hope, that's my healing grace!!

I apologize for the horrible blogger I have been these last couple of months!!

Well... Ruben, Asher, and I are settled in our 'new' home in Homer. Its been awesome so far, and God is taking care of my heart:) I have started working, and I am enjoying it completely!! I get to see the boys when they need me, and have the flexibility with still being Momma.

Sandor is working hard in Anchorage. He is living outside my parents house, and missing his family EVERY SECOND until he can come down here!! Its been a great weekend actually. He came down last night, and gets to stay until tomorrow. We went on a date, and it was fantastic just being able to be with him. Ruben is LOVING every minute with Daddy being here. He cries when he just THINKS Sandor is leaving the room, so I think I will have to dry some serious tears tomorrow night :'(

Asher-Man is growing like crazy. As you can see in the pictures, I have a chunky-monkey:) He is ALWAYS laughing and smiling. And just this last week, the boy LOVES to talk!! Ruben and Asher are growing closer to each other. Just tonight, Asher was laying on his tummy, and Ruben laid down on his tummy right next to him. It was SO sweet:) I just love my boys!!

Sandor's family is soaking up EVERY minute they have with having the boys being down here. It is awesome that the boys can get to know the grandparents, Uncle Russ and Auntie Jan down here:) Ruben is always following Nagypapa around the house, and hotel. Helping him with odd-n-end projects, and enjoying the outside!
Ruben is learning SO much!! He is using actual words more and more, and holding actual conversations. I cannot believe that Ruben is going to be 2 in a month!! Kinda makes me sad that he is growing up... but MAN!! I am falling more, and more in love with this little boy:)

Well I should go!! Sandor is wanting to spend some time with the LOVE of his LIFE:) :)

Big change this summer!!

We spent Easter down in Homer this year. I had so much fun dressing up the boys. Ruben had his VERY first Easter egg hunt, and did a VERY good job at finding 30-something eggs! It took 2 days, but the boy found them all :)

On the way back to Anchorage from Homer, Sandor and I got to talking and a CRAZY idea was made into a PLAN!
Sandor and I have been really wanting to get rid of our debt for some time now, and I have been praying for an opportunity to have financial freedom. Well God works in ways that seem crazy to us, but are PERFECT to Him!! So Sandor and I have decided to step out in faith and make some big decisions for this summer.

The boys and I will be moving to Homer for the summer. I will be working for Sandor's grandparents at Windjammer Suites as a maid!! Sandor will be staying here in Anchorage and continue to work for Scott as a trucker through the summer. Once September rolls around, I will be back in Anchorage :) I am very excited for the long-term blessing this will have for our family, but kinda nervous for the short-term sacrifice of not being with my hubby for a few months! He will be coming down on weekends as often as possible, but this is a huge change! I know that God will comfort Sandor and I during this, and take care of our hearts, along with Ruben and Ashers!!
But if you could keep us in your prayers this summer, that would be AWESOME!!

On another note, Asher is getting SO big :) He is one HAPPY little man, he smiles and laughs CONSTANTLY, and is such a joy to have! God sure did bless us with 2 amazing little boys!

Ruben is continuing to expand his vocabulary. Today he said 'sticky', when I was wiping his hands. Then he kept saying 'Buck' during Ice Age 3- ALL by himself... Momma didn't even have to say it first (Buck is a character in the movie)! That boy is SMART!! He is interacting with Asher a lot more. He really gets a kick out of making Asher laugh and smile... They are going to be great play-mates!

While we were in Homer, Sandor took Ruben for his VERY first ride on the four wheeler!! Ruben LOVED it!! He cried SO much when it was time to leave the beach... He is JUST like his daddy :)

So this last month has been awesome :) I love being a Momma and watching my boys grow and change! Asher is becoming more and more active and responsive... he LOVES to smile and talk :) Ashers name literally means happiness and joy! We named him Asher on purpose- Sandor and I believe names have a lot of impact!

The boys and I have had some fun hanging out with my gf Bridget and her daughter Marilyn. Marilyn is 3 and is Rubens play date buddy! And Bridget is my scrapbook buddy :) I am doing Rubens 0-12month scrapbook... it has been SO fun scrapping with Bridget.

Ruben is a BIG boy now-- he is using utensils for his meals! I have a video of him using the fork, then him pointing to body parts... eye, nose and so on :) I am having trouble uploading- so I will have Sandor do it for me in another post!!

At Ashers last appointment he weighed in at 11lbs 11oz, and was 24in long... he is healthy and happy!!

Sandor is VERY anxious to start trucking for Scott this summer. He went today to test drive 'Ole Red' to make sure 'she' was ready for dirt hauling :)
I will continue my stay-at-home Momma duties this summer and also be hanging out with Bridget more and more... I am VERY excited for that!! A lot will change this summer- Ruben will be 2 years old! That is sad and exciting all at the same time! I cannot believe how big our 'baby man' is getting...

We will be in Homer for Easter weekend... I got THE cutest outfits for the boys to wear, Sandor and I included. I have an Easter basket to fill from Grandma (my mother) and Grammie (Sandor's mom) has an Easter Egg Hunt ready for Ruben as well! It will be a fun time :)

So Sandor and I decided to take Ruben to H2Oasis for Toddler time... SO MUCH FUN!! Although Sandor was in the water with Ruben while I was dry sitting with Asher- it was a lot of fun to watch Ruben.

He wasn't too sure about a few of the things, but once he is there a few more times, I believe he will experience everything in the kiddie pool. I will be in the water the next we go!

Well... my prediction about getting dumped on became true this morning!! YAY! We were very pleased to see the 5-7in outside... although NOTHING compared to the northeast- we are still thankful.

Since we have taken Ruben's binky away for the times he is awake, this kid is a TALKER!! We should of done this a while ago, but hey... he is my practice baby :)
A few things Ruben likes to say...

"what is this"... "belly button"... "bye"... "color" and MANY more things!! I cannot believe how much his vocabulary has grown in the last week!

Spring in February?!

I know!! Kinda crazy uh?! Well Anchorage, AK has been rained on for the last few days and daytime temperatures have been in the 40's... The snow is melting and the roads are bare. I didn't even have to wear a coat today!! Now I say all this and we will get 2 feet of snow next week :) But hey! Us Yagers are OK with that!

Asher has taken his part in the family! He is practically sleeping through the night... he will lay down around 11p and sleep for 5 hours, eat, then sleep for another 3-4 hours!! He is on the same schedule has Ruben, although Asher sleeps 10 more hours then his big brother :)
As of Ashers 2 week check-up, the boy grew 2 1/2 inches and gained a pound! So I'm sure he is EVEN TALLER and HEAVIER as I am writing this.

Ruben was 25lbs and 33in tall at his 18 month check-up! He is over the 95th percentile for his height and the size of his head, but only in the 45th percentile for his weight... so this means Ruben is a tall, skinny boy with a BIG head- I wonder where he gets that from :)

We are in the process of weaning Ruben off of the binky! He is actually doing very well with this... he only gets it for nap, and bed time. Although I think Sandor let him have when they left the house. We are also starting the potty training business. We are getting him interested in using the toilet... so far its gotten his attention pretty well. He has gone poop once! But once I pulled him off the toilet- he peed on the floor hahaha!! I think that we will have more success once we get a stool for him to stand on.

Sandor and I are soaking in EVERY minute of being parents to TWO AMAZING boys :) We are SO blessed to know that God saw fit to give us 2 little boys to train up as MIGHTY MEN of GOD!! Ruben blows me away with how he is already so obedient, and so quick to do whats right. Its the little things that bring me joy to be his Momma... like him helping his nursery worker pick up toys without being asked and put them away, or the way he will put his DVD's away when told by his daddy!
When he was getting ready to leave the house today he made sure to tell me 'bye' after giving me a kiss!! AW!! That just melted my heart!! And the fact that he was SO excited and ready to go out with his Daddy is SO awesome!! Ruben is one little boy EVERY person would LOVE to meet and get to know :)

We are now a family of FOUR!!

So on January 22nd... 8:19am- Asher Jude Yager was born!! He was 8lbs 7oz and 19in long.

We had a smooth delivery and God has totally blessed my recovery. Asher is doing VERY well... he is eating like a little piggy, and sleeping is his hobby! Momma and Daddy LOVE this:) We were VERY thankful for Jonnie (Grammie) and Nagymama coming up from Homer to help with Ruben. Jonnie stayed here at our house so Ruben had some regularity. We have also been blessed with MANY meals- being fed until Feb 8th is SO AWESOME!! Thanks to the LOVELY ladies at Mom's Club. A shout out to Kristin and Jen as well!! All the meals have been SO yummy!
Ruben is adjusting well. We have some moments where he won't want Asher around him- but all-in-all he is accepting Asher! Ruben will be more interested in having a little brother when Asher can play cars and vroom-vrooms.

Ruben is expanding his little vocabulary. He can say brother, and many more things that makes life a little easier for the little man when he wants something!

Sandor has been a GREAT daddy of TWO boys!! He is helping out SO much and being an amazing, caring hubby:) I just LOVE him!!

We have a well-baby appointment for Ruben and Asher on Friday... I can't believe that Ruben is ALREADY 18months old (on the 11th)- and that Asher will be 2 weeks. God is SO good!!

Sorry it's been SO long since the last post... it's been crazy with all my appointments, and getting everything ready for Asher's arrival!!

I am getting VERY large- and hopefully I can get one last picture before he comes on the 22nd of THIS month : )

Ruben is getting SO BIG, and taking in EVERYTHING- he makes Sandor and I SO proud to be his parents... We took him sledding for the first time and he LOVED it!! We had a lot of fun : )

Sandor has been working with Ruben on the difference between loaders, graters, and everything else in-between!! Sandor will ask him to get his grater- and he will, truck, and so on... AMAZING!

The other day the 3 of us were sitting on the bed, and Ruben took my cell phone and put it up to his ear- Ruben says 'hello', then proceeds to chatter, and jabber... after this goes on- I ask him "Ruben, who are you talking to?" Ruben responds "PA PAW"!! hahaha Sandor and I just cracked up... Ruben sure does LOVE his Pa Paw : )
Pa Paw and Meme were the ONLY reasons Ruben would leave the house last night! I am SO blessed to have my family right up the street...

Sandor took Ruben to get his 2nd haircut today- and he did FANTASTIC!!! Sandor said Ruben just sat there, didn't fidget or cry. He just held his truck the whole time : ) I AM SO PROUD OF MY BIG BOY!!!

Well I go into the hospital the night of the 21st to have my blood sugar monitored, and FIRST thing the morning of the 22nd, Asher Jude will make his appearance!! YAY!!! I am SO excited : )

Christmas in HOMER!

This last weekend we went to Homer to celebrate Christmas with Sandor's family! It was an awesome time, and we enjoyed spending time with the family- unfortunately it was short. Ruben had a great time opening presents, then being able to play with them!! I had so much fun watching Sandor and Ruben open their presents...

This was the LAST time we would be able to go down to Homer until after Asher is born!! I am on the countdown and I have a month to go!!! I am SO ready to have Asher- he is a BIG baby, and I...AM...MISERABLE! I have 20+ appointments until he comes, so my stress level is a little high. Sandor and I were talking about our 'to-do checklist' before the big day, and it seems I don't have enough time to finish them all. On Jan. 4th, I have an ultra sound to guess on Asher's weight. I will definitely update and let you all know!

Sandor and I have one present to get Ruben, and a stocking stuffer for Jordan, then we will be ALL done! BUT we have to wrap all of Ruben's presents, and I have the last of Sandors to wrap as well! I am going to be baking for our family Christmas lunch! I cannot wait until I get to enjoy this holiday : )

My brother Jordan flew in Sunday night!! I missed him a lot- BUT I have yet to see him... so we are making it a point to go over to my parents house and spend some time with him! I am glad that he is home, but he leaves a week before Asher delivery. So he won't be able to see Asher until May :'(

We took Ruben to the Christmas pageant this year! HE LOVED IT!! He wasn't too sure about all the costume animals during the "Winter Wonderland" before the pageant, but he LOVED the music and lights!! Pa Paw, Meme, and Auntie Ellie were all in it!! Pa Paw was a wise man, Meme was Mrs. Clause, and Ellie was in a black bear costume...

Little Christmas tree

Sandor and I have been BUSY, BUSY these last couple of weeks... actually I have been BUSY, BUSY these last couple of weeks and have been dragging Sandor with me hahaha!

Making sure Christmas cards are sent out, and that was a process because of the picture we wanted to use! Making list after list of Christmas presents to buy for family, and friends. Getting the tree up and decorating- then making sure Ruben doesn't take ALL the ornaments off to play "ball", and trying to plan when our "Homer Christmas" will be! All the while I have 3 or MORE appointments A WEEK mind you ; ) So to say in the least- I am ready for Christmas to be here!!

It looks like we will driving down to Homer this weekend, if the snow stays away!! If we don't make this trip it will not be until AFTER Asher is born that we get to make it down there... so we are praying the snow comes before or after!

Ruben is just loving the Christmas lights, and decorations everywhere! We have allowed him to have one "Christmas Ball" (a green ornament) to have, he is actually holding it right now. This has been very helpful in deterring the want of touching the tree : ) Praise the Lord for PLASTIC!!

Sandor is patiently waiting for snow... I like being able to have him around. He has been A HUGE help with Ruben!! Most of the time it's physically impossible to do the simple things with Ruben- so Sandor steps in! My belly is just too big to bend over- I will suffocate if I do that too long!

Speaking of Asher- he will be here Jan 22nd if not sooner! YAY! We have decided to stick with the c-section. Its really the best choice for the health of Asher and myself... So of course Sandor and I are TOTALLY excited and cannot wait to meet our BamBam! He has been nicknamed this because of the insane ninja skills he already has haha.

Well we pray that all of you have a blessed Christmas and remember that Jesus Christ is the real reason we are celebrating this holiday! It is SO humbling to know that God LOVES us SO much to have sent his ONLY son for US! For people that would spit in His sons face, for people that would nail him on a cross... and in the 2000 years since, for people that say he doesn't even exist, and live in such a way that our finite minds question "why does God even take the time anymore?"

Well I KNOW why God still takes the time- because of His GRACE! How amazing is the grace He has for is children, and for a world that wants to close Him out COMPLETELY!! Praise God for Jesus Christ... for His LOVE and MERCY! That is the REAL reason for Christmas... We love you guys!

Baby arrival-

Well my appointment went very well! Asher is a VERY healthy baby and is doing great : )

After discussing the risks of a natural delivery and c-section again with my doctor, we have decided that healthiest way would be C-section! Sandor and I have peace about the decision and after talking with both sets of parents; all agree with c-section as well...

I am officially "high-risk" now and will be until the end of my pregnancy. This is ONLY because of the gestational diabetes... so I have 2 appointments a week until Asher comes, just so they can keep an eye on me. He should be here when I am 38-39wks... which will be anywhere from January 18th-25th!! I will have a for sure date come the end of December or beginning of January!

Yager Thanksgiving 2009

We left this last Sunday for Homer, and looked forward to spending Thanksgiving with Sandor's family!! We decided to celebrate Thanksgiving on Wednesday and drive up to Girdwood on Thursday to celebrate with my family. We were stuffed with REALLY good food, and homemade pies on Wednesday. Ruben was *of course* spoiled all week by Grammie and Grandpa!! He was able to spend A LOT of time with the both of them and had a very good week. Sandor was getting over his sickness for most of the time, but we had a fun time!
While we were in Homer, it decided to DUMP snow in Anchorage Wednesday evening and through the night. So change of plans Thursday morning... I woke up at 5:45am, Ruben and Sandor woke up at 6am and we were on the road by 7:30am- UGH!! I am NOT a morning person. Sandor had to plow in Anchorage, so he dropped Ruben and I off at my grandma's and papa's house in Girdwood. I was sad that I didn't have my hubby, BUT snow means money, and I had my family : )

So Ruben and I were able to eat a turkey dinner twice!! Sandor picked us up at midnight- Ruben was AWESOME!! He stayed up with Pa Paw and I, everyone else was in bed. Ruben wasn't fussy, and had a great time!! YAY RUBEN!!! We have a GREAT son : )

I was suppose to get up at 4:30AM to go shopping with Jonnie- YEAH RIGHT!! hahaha- I went to bed at 1:30, and got up 3 times before 4:30 came around. So I slept in until 7:15, and started my shopping by 8am. This was my first "Black Friday" experience and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! I got some really good deals for Christmas shopping, but MAN OH MAN was I tired come 5o'clock!!

You're probably wondering if I had Ruben- NOPE : ) Sandor had to plow ALL day AGAIN because it snowed 9-plus inches Thursday night...
Sandor put Ruben's car seat in his pickup and they plowed for 5 hours!! This made Sandor's day, Ruben had a BLAST and LOVED every minute of this day : ) Sandor said that Ruben didn't fuss or cry, and watched out the windows the whole time!! OK- so I am totally having a PROUD MOMMA moment!! Sandor and I are SO blessed with such an awesome little boy!! God is good : )

Asher and I have an appointment on Monday, and I am looking forward to this one- it's FINALLY the one where we decide how Asher will be born!! So pray that its a decision that is made with wisdom!! I will for sure post a blog with the outcome...

Homer, and some "Fall Fun"...

So for halloween weekend we took the opportunity to take a trip to Homer. It was A LOT of fun, and some good memories were made while down there... we like to do a little something for fun on halloween, and last year we went to our churches' Fall Festival. Its a carnival type event that kids can come and enjoy. I was hoping that Homer would have something similar, and they did! Terry and Jonnies church puts on a carnival for the community just like Anchorage Baptist Temple! So we all dressed up and enjoyed some candy...

A couple of days ago brought our first REAL snowfall, and WORK for Sandor!! YAY! Praise the Lord, the transition from summer job to winter job was AWESOME!! God is SO good, and blesses our family with little things here and there... Sandor was very happy to say the least. He missed the plowing and snow- now he can have it for 5 MORE months : )

Ruben is doing great, he is not so little anymore!! I can barely carry him anymore, I know that my beach ball belly doesn't help, but hey! the kid is HEAVY! He is learning more and more... he can "roar" like a lion haha. I LOVE that!! He is definitely becoming more and more independent, and wanting to do things his way. He has NO fear- but I think that just comes with being a boy. I cannot wait until he gets to meet Asher!

Speaking of Asher! This last week I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Nothing to worry about, I just have to watch what I eat, and check my blood sugar regularly. Good thing I don't mind blood, needles, and pain! So far (2 days haha) has been good, I think I have been over just 2 times. I'm still trying to understand the whole diet thing...
Asher is healthy, healthy!! He is also 2 weeks big, so we shall see how this gestational diabetes affects the decision for how Asher will be born. I've heard a few different things from mom's that have had it... so I will just wait until the 30th when I see my Dr.

My Christmas decorations are up and we are loving it!! Ruben is doing better then I thought with the whole NO TOUCHING rule... all he does is point and grunt, then say 'please' in sign language if he wants something off the walls or tables. I simply say "no, that's Mama's- no touch". He is listening so far : ) He is a VERY good little boy, Sandor and I are blessed!!

My dad had his left hand surgery done last week, and is on the road to recovery. Although this time he is dealing with a bit more pain then last time, so if you could pray for his hand that would be awesome! He has to be pretty careful with banging his hand... Ruben is having a bit of a hard time with this since all the kid does to show affection is WALLER on you! Soon enough though he can wrestle and love on Pa Paw more...

Tia, Colin, Ellie, and my grandma went to FL a couple weeks ago, and had a BLAST! They had amazing weather, good shopping and a fun experience at Disney World!! They went down for the Revolve Tour for junior high, and high school girls... yes, I did mention that Colin went on the trip! He was the ONLY male at that conference besides the band members that attended... and yes, he was on CLOUD NINE with the attention he got... crazy kid : )

Amazing Daddy, One Sick Momma, and a Curious Little Boy...

So this week I have been REALLY sick... it started out with a cough, that turned into the flu and NO energy, but is now a yucky cough again. I seriously only get sick when I'm pregnant. YAY! for a low immune system : )
The BEST part about being sick was my wonderful hubby, he took care of me AND Ruben this last week. He was awesome!! He even cooked DINNER last night, and it actually turned out pretty yummy... Sandor needs a big pin button saying "Worlds BEST Dad & Husband!!"

Sandor's summer work schedule is starting to slow down... it is really nice knowing that snow is almost here. We have been looking forward to this season, and my main reason is selfish (I get Sandor home 80% of the winter). Sandor's reason is because he CANNOT wait to start plowing, he LOVES it!!

Ruben has been growing and learning... he is such a SPUNKY little boy, I wonder where he gets that from?! His communication is expanding at a quick rate, and his vocabulary sometimes blows our mind. He can say 'fish', 'bird', 'book', 'ya', and binky-which we have learned is 'nana' just to name a few. He has the whole pointing down, and is able to let us know what he wants.
His favorite snacks are banana's and goldfish! He could eat the two ALL day if we'd let him. He has been showing much more independence and at times down-right rebellion, but he is STILL such a little charmer, and listens for the most part : )

Asher is getting BIG! He is measuring in a week and a half bigger then my due date. He has a strong heartbeat still, and is moving like there is no tomorrow... he really can hurt with some of the kicks and punches he does. He is proving more and more that he is MUCH MORE active then Ruben. Should I follow that with an "uh-oh", or a "yay"?! We shall see soon enough I guess : )

Red, Yellow, and Orange...

Fall has been here and seems to be leaving us too quickly! Termination dust has made its debut, and the winter 'smell' is in the air. Sandor and I are very happy to see this season change, and are gearing up for our snow plowing business.
We are officially changing the business name to Snowline Alaska as of October 1st! We are praying this season will bring LOTS of snow and good business : )

My dad is getting better, he has had the swine flu and another infection that has put him out of commission this last week. He is still not himself, and is definitely ready to be. I feel for him SO much... I hate being sick, and can't imagine what he went through. BUT God is good and healing him!!

Asher is healthy, and growing! He is SUCH a mover, and I now have the joy of watching my belly roll and pop out here and there from his kicks, and somersaults!! I have my energy back, and have stopped throwing up! YAY!! Extreme difference, and energy now that has stopped, took 20wks, but hey! who's counting : D?

Ruben was able to enjoy his Grammie and Granpa Yager down in Homer, along with Nagypapa, Nagymama, Uncle Russ, and Aunt Janice... it was a GREAT visit, and we even had the pleasure of having Daddy down the last 24 hrs. The weather was AMAZING, and we were able to spend 90% of this last Saturday outside, on the beach. Ruben LOVED every minute he had to walk around and play! He is such a boy!!
Jonnie took him to see the firetrucks, and ambulance, pick raspberries, and go on walks. She also took Ruben and I swimming... I have a water baby (well not a baby anymore) and he had a blast! Good, easy exercise for me as well.

Its been amazing to watch Ruben grow and SOAK UP EVERYTHING around him. Whenever he sees a dump truck, he will point and say "dada". Don't ask me how he can already relate his daddy, and what he does, but he was sitting on Jonnie's lap when he did it, and it blew us both away : ) He has learned what fish are, and can call Sushi by her name now. He is still all about dancing, and get this, he stays on beat!! haha! Had to put that one in there for Sandor's sake, Ruben definitely gets his 'moves' from his Momma!! hahaha : D

September is ALREADY here, and Alaska is changing yet again. That means winter is just around the corner, and plow season will begin : ) I will have take a drive and get some really good fall pictures in...

Ruben and I went to a bon fire with the V-180 group last night, at Knik River. It was lots of fun, and Ruben had a blast. He was so good, and we stayed until 9pm! He had a hot dog, and graham crackers with a little melted marshmallow. He loved watching the fire, and walked around picking up rocks.

I think that Sandor and I will try to get out and camp at least once before the snow comes. I think Ruben is just like his daddy, he LOVES to be outside!!

Baby Yager #2 is a....

BOY!! Yes, we are having another boy!! We are naming him Asher Jude Yager, and he is healthy and VERY active : ) Sandor is a proud daddy, and has another boy to carry on the Yager family name!

This last weekend was a VERY busy one. Sandor's family was up from Homer so we went to the fair on Saturday... we arrived at the fair 10:30am and left 7:30 AT NIGHT! Ruben had a great time, and was able to see lots of animals and even ride a PONY!! He loved every minute of his new adventure.

Sunday, Grammie and Grandpa Yager took us to the Alaska Zoo. Again, Ruben had a great time walking around the trails and looking at more animals! He is growing SO fast, and his knowledge of the world he lives in is growing even quicker. Sandor and I are LOVING every minute we have with our little boy. Sandor is especially enjoying the time is able to have with Ruben, and he loves to be able to teach his boy new things!

I was daydreaming of Ruben and Asher playing together, and I was ecstatic!! God has blessed our little family, and having another little baby boy is an AMAZING blessing and gift from the Lord!!!

Sandor has taken on a new ministry in the Singles department, he is teaching a Sunday School class!! God has blessed and we are being used... On Sept 13th we are having a worship night that our band (yes band) Downpour, will be doing. My dad and Colin, Alex Harder, Sandor and I are very excited to do this!!

This last weekend Sandor and I celebrated our 2 years of marriage!! It was such a blessing to get away, and Sandor planned the whole thing : ) Everything was a VERY nice surprise!
Ruben stayed the night with Pa Paw and Meme, and we had a beautiful B&B to stay in. Sandor took me to Suite 100 for dinner, and we rented a couple of movies with some snacks! We wanted to take advantage of the night we had with no Ruben, and thought an ALL-NIGHTER was in store! We watched only ONE movie and played a little Skip Bo... then we passed out! Yeah, we didn't even make it pass 1am hahahaha. We are so old ; )
We had a great breakfast, and then it was off to get RUBEN!! I missed that kid SO much... but I managed our first night without him with NO tears!!

Ruben's First Haircut

Well I had a pre-natal appointment yesterday and all is well with Baby #2!! This one is a MOVER just like Ruben : ) the heartbeat was 154... so on the slower side (maybe its another boy!!) I have had the worst last couple of weeks with the morning sickness : P
I have lost weight and now I'm only 2 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight that I was at with RUBEN!! So needless to say she was a little concerned with that and gave me some medicine for my throwing up... I took it last night and OH MY WORD! I was up from 2:30-5:30am from being SO sick! It was not a good night. So I don't think I will be taking that medicine again!
On the 31st, Sandor and I get to find out what we are having!! YAY! Sandor still wants another boy... he just may get one ; ) My 'gut feeling' is another boy... So we shall see!!

Ruben is talking MORE and MORE! His new sound is 'la la' and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to say 'WHOA'!!... and he LOVES to DANCE! Anytime he hears music, he starts to wiggle from side to side and back and forth. It is SO cute to watch : ) He has one upper tooth in, and 3, YES 3 more on the top coming in!!
His toy of choice seems to be balls! He always picks them up, and yells 'ball'.
All of his clothes from the summer are WAY TOO small... and he is just inches away from my waist! Crazy how tall he is already!

So Sandor and I will be celebrating 2 years on the 25th!! I guess Sandor has a HUGE weekend planned, one where Ruben will be spending the night with Pa Paw and Meme! WOW! He says he is making up for last year as well. Last year, we did nothing! Haha... I guess thats what happens when you have a one month old : ) But it has been an AMAZING 2 years! A friend told me I have 50 more to go... and Sandor and I are looking forward to those next 50 years with a smile on our faces!

This weekend is the Redeeming Love Retreat I will be leading! I cannot wait to see what God has in store! I have 3 sessions I will be teaching, and I'm REALLY excited about teaching them!! Jonnie will be watching Ruben during the teaching and I'm praying the weather will be good, so the girls can enjoy Homer to the fullest! I have a few that have never been, so it should be fun : )

Sandor is starting to gear up for the winter! He has a couple new guys he is looking at to replace Rob... He will be sending contracts out in September, and hopefully the snow will come soon after that!!

My brother Jordan is leaving Wednesday night :'( We are going to miss him tons! Ruben will miss his Uncle Jordy, and all the play time they have together! But he will be coming back for Christmas!!

A year has FLOWN by!

On Saturday, we celebrated Ruben's FIRST birthday! It was SO much fun and Ruben enjoyed every minute of it : ) He received some pretty awesome toys, so awesome that his daddy couldn't wait to play with them! We had lots of friends and family to help celebrate this birthday... Thanks to all who made this day amazing!

So our little family will be adding another addition! I am 12wks and everything is HEALTHY!! We have a strong little baby with a strong heartbeat, God is SO good! So we will be expecting this baby February 1st, 2010. YAY! We are very excited, especially after the last pregnancy I had. We are very blessed that God sees fit to give us another child to raise. My morning sickness is hardcore though, and I have migraines to accompany my throwing up : P. Unfortunately my morning sickness lasts for too long (in my opinion). With Ruben it lasted until 25wks! Just maybe, it will not last that long with this one!
We will be praying for a natural labor and delivery, so if you think to pray that would be GREAT!

Sandor is still working for Scott, and he is LOVING it! We are very blessed to have this job... but we cannot wait for WINTER! I know, your going to hate me, but I'm praying for an early snowfall : ) I love having Sandor home and Ruben is getting to that age where he has a BLAST playing with his daddy.

In August, Redeeming Love will be having a young adult, single woman's retreat in Homer! I'm very excited to see what God has in store, and that God is using me. Its very humbling, but very exciting! I even have a little "invite" on our radio station KAFC 93.7. We heard the recording and Sandor said it sounded great, but he is a little jealous that I made it to the radio before him ; ) So if you could be praying for that as well...

Peace and Quiet

Ruben is sleeping, after a rough battle of the will. So I thought that I would take the time to write a new entry!

The Homer trip was a good trip, again. Joshua and Bre got married, it was awesome! I teared up when Joshua started crying when he saw BreAnn!! It was a fun wedding, and the weather was great! They are currently in Mexico...

Ruben had his first tooth come in! The second one is close behind... so hopefully he'll have 2 bottom teeth for his 1st birthday : ) He is also VERY close to taking off with those feet of his! He is not too confident yet, but he is starting to think more and more of walking by himself. He can cruise with the help of a hand, or couch, so once it clicks, I'll be in for more of a workout daily.

I'm getting prepared for Ruben birthday party! I have made most of his invitations, but still need to make a few more. I have a cupcake stand and need to make a trip to Party and Craft for the decor and balloons! I feel very prepared and I'm proud of myself for not letting procrastination get the better of me... I was hoping to do a 'theme' this year, but chose not to because of the 'themes' out there. I'm not (nor is Ruben) into the whole Transformers, Spider Man, or Sponge Bob stuff. So I chose to go with COLORS! I think if there was a Dump Truck theme, then I'd do it, BUT that would only be done to entertain Sandor more then anything ; ) He is more and more of kid since Ruben has been born. He cannot wait to introduce Lego's, and play in the dirt with him. I'm glad we had a boy first... I'm not sure Sandor is ready for girl yet.

Sandor and I will be singing Sunday in front of ABT... my dad will be playing electric guitar, and Colin will be playing the drums. Sandor is leading in vocals and acoustic, and we have a bass player. I'll be singing back-up. We're excited!! SO tune in to channel 13 at 1pm and watch!

When Ruben wakes up, I'll have to upload my pictures from Homer and such... so that will be a complete new blog entry! Should be done by tonight : )

So this last week and a half has been SUNNY! So Ruben and I, of course, are outside! He loves to go out and about with me... which is SO nice. I am NOT a homebody, and Ruben isn't either!! He watches people, he smiles and waves at them...
When I was still pregnant with Ruben, I started a journal for him. I use it to write thoughts I have, prayers I pray, and memories I never want him (or I ) to forget. Last night, I wrote how he catches peoples eyes when we're out and about. I believe Ruben has something that attracts people. Comments and smiles that men and women give him are amazing. He has a sparkle in his eyes, and a smile that can make any one's day. I wrote how he can one day use this to further Christ's Kingdom! Sandor and I are reminded EVERYDAY how much a blessing Ruben is, and how he is a gift that we never want to take for granted. Being a Mama is something I will never throw away,or take lightly.

Ruben had a nurse visit today. I LOVE the program that the Native Hospital has... a pediatrician nurse comes to my home, and does measurements and weight. Ruben's nurse is a christian, and she is awesome. She just loves coming to see Ruben. Today he was 29 inches long, and 23 lbs. His head measured in a little over 19inches around!! AHH! Ruben has a HUGE head ha ha!!

So this last weekend, we went to North Star Bible Camp to lead worship for the Singles Retreat. I also led the Devotions for the girls...we had very nice weather, and God totally worked. The Holy Spirit convicted, yet comforted. I needed it, God had shown me some things, and I'm SO blessed He took time to speak my heart.

Ruben had a BLAST out there... he played in the lake, and LOVED it!! He didn't want to get out. The cold didn't phase him a bit! He's part fish : )

Ruben and I are leaving for Homer on Sunday! We will be there for a week... as always, I am looking forward to it! And I'm sure Terry and Jonnie, and everyone else is as well.
I will look a little different when they see me next! Sandor's mother's day present was a piercing, and I now have purple in my hair! So be prepared Terry and Jonnie ; )

Kinda Behind...

So I'm behind a few weeks with the updates, sorry!

Well the end of April wasn't entirely exciting, except for the amazing weather! Anchorage has seen high 60'-low 70's. Ruben and I take advantage of the summer and walk around the neighborhood. He LOVES looking around from his stroller, and its a good workout for me!

Speaking about workouts, I'm very happy to say I've reached my goal for post-pregnancy weight!! I worked hard, and its very nice to see the results. I feel 10x better, and enjoy my pre-pregnancy clothes again...YAY!

Sandor started working the end of April. Ruben and I kinda don't like it because we don't see Sandor as much : ( BUT it pays the bills and then some. God has blessed us with a summer job and we DO NOT take it for granted!!

Since the last post Ruben has grown, and developed just that much more!! He is a chunk, and has started to walk with some help : ) Although he doesn't have walking down completely, the boy is standing by himself! Amazing little boy... we don't get tired of him. He is SO personable, he will FLIRT with anyone he sees. He gets A LOT of attention when we're out and about, I think I will have to have the stranger-danger talk with him soon!

Homer, sickness, and GOOD NEWS!

So last week us Yagers, went down to Homer for a week! It was MUCH needed and MUCH fun! I was able to let Grammie hang out with Ruben, while I had girl time with Haley!! The weather was beautiful (except for that UNNEEDED ash 3 days before we went down) and sunny... I was able to enjoy some time alone on the beach, enjoying wonderful K-Bay Coffee! I was able to relax and not have a schedule, and Sandor was able to help his dad with little projects. It was really good to see Nagymama and Nagypapa, and eat some GOOD food. The Saturday before we left for home, we decided to drive to Seward with Terry and Jonnie. Unfortunately Sandor got REALLY sick, he was throwing up and had motion sickness to top it off! I felt really bad for him, he was miserable. We were 5 minutes out from getting back to Homer, and Ruben threw up!! WOW! Didn't know the Seward trip would be so um, adventuress?
Well poor Ruben, daddy got over his sickness in 24 hours, but we had a sick baby for a week! Poop and throw up are not fun times...

Since we've been back, Ruben is over his flu. He even has his ENORMOUS appetite back :) and is becoming more and more like a little boy! I CANNOT believe my baby man will be ONE in 2 1/2 months!!
I've been getting back to the normal routine, and Sandor is gearing up for summer work. He is making sure all his winter stuff is properly finished. Once he starts working for Scott, we wont see Sandor for the next 4 months!! That is hard, but a blessing. Sandor makes good money and gets to work with christian guys, so I try to not complain too much.

With summer coming, it means that Ruben and I will be out of town more often... more Homer trips and some to other destinations I haven't been to for a while. I told Jonnie my summer plans and she's all for it! I hope that I will have her company.

My medical deal is just about FINISHED!! Praise the Lord!! I had a blood draw today, and hopefully it will be my last one! The doctor said that if the HCG is out of my system, she does not mind me getting pregnant again!! YAY!! I was told I could have to wait up to a year, but that is not the case anymore, so Sandor and I decided to start soon :) Thanks for praying for me, it was been a learning to trust God experience.

God is SO good!!

Emotions never seem to get me on the roller coaster, but this whole miscarriage is taking me for a ride! I decided to take the tissue to Pathology and see what they could tell me. Well the results were NOT what I was expecting.
Monday I went in for my follow up appointment and was blown away with my results. My pregnancy was a molar pregnancy. My doctor explained to me what that means,
Molar pregnancy: An abnormally formed placenta that results in miscarriage. Also called a hydatidiform mole. Women with molar pregnancies will need blood work after they miscarry to make sure that all the abnormal placental tissue has been evacuated.
So that is where I am right now. If the tissue is not out I have a risk of developing cancer from it. I still have HCG in my body but it is going down, so that is a blessing. My HCG needs to be in the negative before this is completely over. I have a blood test on Friday, so pray that I'm in the negative. Unfortunately, once a woman has one molar pregnancy, the risk of another is very high. This is my second molar pregnancy, so I will mostly have more to come if Sandor and I want more kids.
My mind is still going through the facts over and over again. I am on edge it seems and I still haven't cried. I was really hoping that I would not have to deal with so much during this miscarriage, but I have. What is making my mind and heart feel so heavy is knowing this is not done. This will not be done until Sandor and I are done having children! If I miscarry again in the future I will have to have a DNC for every one, because it's the defected tissue that is producing the HCG, so my body will not let go of it naturally. WOW! What a thing to accept when all you've wanted in life was tons of kids!
So if you could please pray for me!! I know that God is control and I have faith that He will take care of me, but I still have emotions and those are what need prayer.

On another note, my parents have been stuck in MEXICO!! So Ellie has been staying with Sandor and I since Friday. That has been going very well :) But they should be back early Friday morning. I'm very anxious to see them.

Ruben is growing HUGE!! Last Wednesday he weighed in at 22lbs and 28 3/4 inches long!!! He is almost half of my height and he'll be 9 months in 10 days...anything a little wrong with that?!? I love watching him grow and learn new things. He is starting the 'I want Mama all the time' stage! Some times its good, yet when I'm trying to get things done its not so cute.

Sandor has his CDL testing tomorrow, pray he gets it! I think that he will, he has it down and hopefully he is confident :) I'll let you know how it goes.

We will be in Homer next week. I cannot wait. I hope that the weather is good. Sandor and I got a bike trailer for a GREAT deal, so we want to try it out.

What a Wild Ride!

So since the miscarriage, my body has gone for a wild ride! For some reason my body really likes to be pregnant, and will not let the baby pass naturally. That is where I had my ordeal. I was given a medicine on Monday (3/16) to help the process. It seemed to work and I felt fine after everything happened.
Well I went to bed on Thursday and woke up about 3am with some cramping. I called Sandor, he had left for Homer and was coming back Friday morning, and told him that the cramping wasn't normal and I was going to pack Ruben up and go to the E.R.
Well in the 5 minutes I was on the phone with him my pain went from bad to worse! I could barely talk on the phone, let alone walk! He said that he was going to call an ambulance for me, and to make sure the door was unlocked. I had to get Ruben changed, in his car seat, with a bottle before they came. Praise the Lord, Sandor called Haley and Josiah who happened to be up from Homer and they arrived the same time the paramedics did. From the time the paramedics arrived to when they put me on a stretcher, I was cramping and bleeding worse! They gave me a pain med that didn't do anything, but I was at the hospital in no time.
When I arrived they gave me morphine and my body finally had relief. Sandor showed up by 8:30am and I was told by the doctor, that it seemed that my body was trying to get rid of tissue left over. So he gave me more of the same medicine to take orally later that day and I was able to leave the hospital. My bleeding and cramping went away, and I felt fine.
Saturday morning (3/21) I woke up to some cramping and decided to take the medicine, and try to relax. Well that didn't work so well when I threw up the medicine! My body was repeating everything from the morning before BUT 10 TIMES WORSE! Sandor and I loaded Ruben up and we went back to the ER. Kristin and Jon came to the hospital to watch Ruben. My sister Ellie came to see me and Terry and Jonnie came up from Homer. It took a few doses of pain meds 10x stronger then morphine to get the pain down, and I was then told that a DNC was in store for me.
Fortunately I was knocked out for that surgery and I felt nothing, not to mention I remember nothing! I was able to leave Saturday evening after a good nap. Since then, I am back to normal and have no cramping or unusual bleeding! Thank you to ALL of you that helped and prayed for us! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, to Josiah and Haley, Kristin and Jon, my sister Ellie and Terry and Jonnie for EVERYTHING! For helping Sandor and I with Ruben when we needed you guys the most... We are TRULY blessed to have friends and family like you!!

Ruben is 8 months old! Sandor and I cant believe how big he has gotten, he is fitting into his 18 month outfits... and He is crawling EVERYWHERE, and pulling himself up onto EVERYTHING! He will walk if he has something he can hold onto. He is starting to stand up, then let go of his support! Freaks me out sometimes, but the boy has to learn some how! He is starting to eat some solid foods, like melt-away crackers and such. He has a tooth starting to pop put FINALLY! It doesn't seem to bother him at all. He is one tough kid...

Sandor is starting to practice his driving to get his CDL for this summer. He is going to work for Scott Services again, which is SUCH A BLESSING! Its very comforting to know that we don't have to wonder what Sandor will be doing for work in the summer! Scott and Angie are really great people and we love getting to know them. I received flowers from them this last week and it was SO sweet and unexpected!

I'm looking forward to summer, I'm ready to go all over all the state with Ruben. I told Sandor that even if he doesn't come, Ruben and I are going :) I will not be working a set schedule this summer and will have LOTS of time with a busy little boy!
We will be going to Homer next week and will be down there for a week! I CANNOT WAIT! I need a Homer trip...

God is SO in control!

So this week has been a week for Sandor and I to TRULY understand that our God is completely in control of our lives... a bittersweet experience can have SUCH an impact on a child of God.

We found out at 7wks that I had miscarried the baby. A few days before that, I started to spot. The "somethings not right" feeling had popped up and I knew right away that miscarriage was a huge possibility. So I went to my MOST WONDERFUL husband and shared my heart. That was when I grieved. God was there right in the middle, reaffirming that He is Sovereign. We prayed for the couple days before we went to the doctor. When I went in for my ultrasound, my body had already started to absorb the baby, and of course no heartbeat. Yes, we were very sad, and hoping for a miracle. BUT we were prepared by the grace of God! For me, a miscarriage just means a different due date.
This peace is ONLY from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! He is my true comforter and is my faithful confidant and the healer of my heart. I am truly understanding more and more of how jealous God is for MY HEART, for my everything!! Sanctification is number one for me and my family (praise the Lord). Becoming more and more like Jesus is vital and comes BEFORE my husband and BEFORE my child.
Trial and tribulation are there for me to know Jesus more intimately and understand that He is doing things out of LOVE! What an amazing God we serve!

On Saturday I had my first official Redeeming Love get-together! It went fantastic. We had an awesome turnout and the food was great :) I took the opportunity to share my heart and the vision I had with forming Redeeming Love Ministries. I have a mission statement below...

"To give women a true understanding of who they are in Christ, equip them to be ready for the battle over their heart. and to present opportunities for them to fall in love with their Savior, Jesus Christ over and over again."

I was very humbled and blessed to have this ministry kick-off with an amazing start. The ladies really opened up and are excited to have a women's ministry within V-180.

Sandor led worship for the first time with V-180 this morning!! That is his ministry from here on out and let me tell you, HE IS EXCITED for whats in store! This is such a God thing and its so exciting to see my hubby minister and see how God is already using him!
I have a leadership conference that I will help teach next weekend. My dad is teaching a session as well. Sandor will be leading a 2-3 hour worship service and that is coming along great. My dad is playing electric guitar, Colin my brother will be playing drums, Alex is playing bass, and Sandor is playing acoustic and singing! They have been practicing, and lets just say we WILL feel the Holy Spirit work that night!!

Ruben is crawling everywhere! He said his first official word- dadada!! SO CUTE! He is growing and growing. He was VERY sick this last week and a half. Thankfully is getting better. His nose is letting all that gunk out, and he can breathe SO much easier. The first night his stuffiness came was the worst night I had with him since he was born! WOW! But we got through it without becoming walking zombies!

We want to give EVERYBODY A HUGE THANK YOU for voting for us on the Fisher Plow contest. Even though we didn't get the plow, we did get an I-Pod touch!! Its very fun and Sandor LOVES it! SO thanks again for showing your love and support!

Yes! We are expanding!!

Our family of 3 is going to be a family of 4 come September! We are VERY excited and cannot wait to meet our new baby! God has blessed us with Ruben in SO many ways, another one on the way makes us that much more grateful that we get to be parents!
I do have horrible morning sickness. I do have nausea and unfortunately throwing up. I've had horrible headaches, and cant wait until this part of my pregnancy is over! Our 2nd prenatal appointment is on the 24th, I will be sure to keep you all updated :)

Ruben is growing more and more everyday. We can safely say the boy is crawling! His personality is forming into a little character. He can be the sweetest little boy you'd ever meet, but watch out, he can pitch a fit like no other!! It is a little independence he has gained in his 7 months of life! He is very smart and very determined!

Valentines Day was a blast! Sandor woke up to his gift 3am... He wasn't suppose to wake up, but I guess I'm not that sneaky. He made me the sweetest card EVER! He came up with the poem below...

I searched far and wide this Valentines Day
For a love soooo BIG it would blow me away.
Throughout all of Anchorage, and even the world,
The BEST LOVE I found was this boy and this girl (he had a picture of us)
I wished I could have love like this for my own,
Then I realized this love was right here in my home!

Isn't that AMAZINGLY LOVELY AND ROMANTIC?!!?!
Well I think so, and I am blessed with a great man... he also gave a frog and K-Bay coffee!

Our Little Fish...

We were able to spend this last weekend in Girdwood! It was SO relaxing, and quiet. We loved the time we spent with my grandma and Papa. Ruben had a blast and was able to be spoiled by grandma!
Terry and Jonnie (Sandor's parents) were staying at Alyeska Princess for a Realtors convention. So Sandor took Ruben swimming. HE LOVED IT! He was able to go with Grammie and have a blast. He went under water twice, and was able to show off his swimming trunks and surfer top! He was the cutest kid in there...

I turn 22 today! It's kinda different. I have passed all the birthdays that people usually anticipate, like 16, and 21. Now I can look forward to 25 and 30...

Sandor has been busy sanding and was able to plow the night before we left for Girdwood. He has something up his sleeve for my birthday today! I honestly don't like surprises, that's the control part of me coming out. BUT I will go along with him, he's done good in the past with his surprises! He is an amazing husband and I couldn't ask for anyone else!

It's a blessing to be able to fall in love with your husband more day in and day out! He makes it easy. But yesterday was a "I love you more today then I ever have"!! God is so awesome!

Ruben still hasn't "crawled", but is able to move around the floor. He is SUCH a character. He is always talking and yelling. Even when he is pitching a fit, his personality shines through! He is eating allot more. In the morning we wakes up about 6am and has a bottle, then will fall asleep for a few more hours. When he wakes up he'll have his oatmeal cereal with a fruit or yogurt. In between breakfast and his nap he'll have another bottle. When he wakes up he'll have lunch. That is usually a vegetable. He'll have 3 more bottles and one more vegetable or another bowl of cereal!! Right before he falls asleep by 10:30pm he'll have one more bottle to top off! Let's just say he is a growing boy :)

He is 7months in a couple days. THAT IS CRAZY! I cant believe how time has flown. Before I know it he's going to be heading off to college and getting married!

We are an Army for the Lord...

So Ruben had his 6 month check up, and he is HEALTHY!! He is 28 and 5/8 inches long and is 18.6lbs... we could of bet money on him being closer to 20lbs, if not more! But he is growing, and coming right along in brain development and motor skills!! He does have a cold that developed into bronchialitus... but he is taking medicine and getting better :)

He is able to get around! He isn't "crawling", but he is able to roll, or scoot to whatever catches his eye! He is sitting a lot more on his own and LOVES to grab things above his head, off the tables, or just about anything for that matter! He is still teething, none have popped out yet, but we see one just about to. He is the HAPPIEST baby, always has a smile on his face, and always talking or laughing. We love being able to have him in our lives and thank the Lord EVERY DAY! He is the BEST BABY EVER :)

Sandor didn't win the Fisher plow, but thank you for all of you that voted, we really don't even know who won. We are kinda thinking it was more of a fluke then anything. Sparky's Land Works is going great! God has TOTALLY blessed.

I'm very busy with a new ministry! God has opened the door for me to work along side the pastor of the Singles Ministry; Velocity 180'. I'm his assistant, and work side by side with everything that will happen. I'm also developing Redeeming Love Ministries. It is a women's ministry aimed for working on the heart. I'm very excited to be given the opportunity to be used of God and help His Kingdom! I'm teaching a Bible study right now, but will be involved with Leadership training and discipleship in the next year! I know that my relationship with Christ has exploded since I started the ministry. I have finally given God 100% of my heart, and now He has EVERYTHING I was holding on to sinfully. God used Sandor in helping me, and now I finally have nothing to hide. I have NO bondage, and Satan has NOTHING against me!! Its SO great to have God be in control!
Our marriage has benefited from all of this! We are both aiming at a marriage that is glorifying God and we are making sure that we keep it exciting! We have had SO much fun knowing that we are both in His will and our marriage is THRIVING and is BLESSED because of it! We have felt like our marriage is on our honeymoon all over again, but better because of what God has already done and WILL be doing!

In the last year...

A lot has happened to the Yagers in the last year!
2008
January- I was still very much in the morning sickness... We found out that we were pregnant with Ruben in December 2007, but I was already 7wks pregnant! Lets just say we started talking about having a baby, and decided to get off my birth control... but the bun was already in the oven!

February- I turned 21!! We decided to sell our house in Anchor Point. So we moved in with Sandor parents in Homer. I was still very sick and Sandor didn't want me to be alone for so long. And that helped with keeping the house clean :)
We also found out that our Baby was a BOY! So we gave him the name Ruben Sean!

May- I had reached my third trimester, and we had to move to Anchorage, for reasons of giving birth to Ruben. We still hadn't sold our house, so we chose to get renters. We moved into my parents house... I got my old job back at the Preschool. WOW... 7 months pregnant, as big as a house, chasing 3 and 4 yr old boys and girls!

June- Sandor turned 23!!

July- On the 11th, Ruben Sean was born! He weighed in at 9lbs 2oz and was 20 1/2 inch long!

September- We FINALLY found a place of our own... we moved down the street in a new 8 plex!

October- Ruben was a Bumble Bee on the 31st and a Lion for the Fall Festival, Sandor was a motor cross racer and I was a Lady Bug!

November- Ruben's FIRST Thanksgiving... We went to my Grandma and Papa's in Girdwood. We had a very good weekend!

December- Ruben's FIRST Christmas... So far Ruben can laugh, sit up, scoot, hold his toys, throw his binky, eat cereal, fruits and veggies, drink from a sippy cup, and roll over! He is pushing 20lbs and is almost 27inches long, if not there already! We can safely say that he has green-hazel eyes and his hair so far has a reddish, blond tint! Those features take after Sandor... He is a very happy baby and LOVES his Johnny Jump Up. We just fall in love with him day and day out!

So 2009 is now here and I CANT wait what is in store!

Baby Jesus & Christmas

Well us Yager's had a great Christmas! We started out the holiday with Ruben as Baby Jesus for the ABT Christmas Pageant! Lets just say Ruben was a SAD Baby Jesus... He did very well for the rehearsals, but for the 3 nights of the actual performance, he was sad. I think it was the Shepard's that did it for the little guy!
He definitely received the "oo's" and "awe's", some people said that they couldn't even tell he was crying. Well I sure was proud! The picture below is Ruben and my dad before the first night. My dad was one of the Wise Men...
The last night of the pageant, we drove to Homer! We decided that we would have Christmas with Sandor's parents and come back to Anchorage the day after Christmas. Sandor had to go up to Anchorage to plow the day before Christmas Eve, and praise the Lord he was able to get back down Christmas Eve Night! Rob and Mark are to thank for that ;)
We had a great time watching Ruben open up his VERY FIRST Christmas present... he LOVED the bow! That was the only thing he was interested before he fell asleep on the floor for the rest of present opening. We were blessed with all the gifts we received from Sandor's family... I was able to get the vacuum cleaner I have wanted FOREVER! Sandor received wings for his plow, and we both got gift cards, cash and little stuff! I got Sandor a hand held, deep muscle massager! He loves it, and Sandor got me my wedding band that I have wanted! And Ruben made out as well, he got clothes, cash, and a savings account from his great-grandparents.So it was a good Christmas day! We already miss Homer and everyone down there! Some times I wish we were still living down there, then I start thinking about the 200+ miles away from a mall, my parents and just civilization in general! We got to play the wii Jonnie Kay got from Terry, and I fell in love with the game Skip-Bo... thank you Nagypapa and Terry :)

We made it back to Anchorage safe and sound the day after Christmas but Sandor had to go plow immediately... So I went shopping! We opened our presents from my family Saturday morning, and that was awesome too! I received everything that I asked for! I'm a little spoiled or what? Ruben got toy after toy from Pa Paw and Meme, his favorite one so far is a stuffed penguin... a little beanie baby. He smashed it in his face the minute he opened it. So it was a good Christmas all in all!

Now we are awaiting the new year, and anticipating what may come this new year! I hope that we get to see family that we haven't seen in a while and that Ruben will have the chance to meet them. (*ahem, Grampa and Elizabeth!)

Carrots...Yummy?

So Ruben is trying new foods. He LOVES his cereal and has two bowls a day. It helps SO much with feeding him everyday, he is still feeding every 2-3hrs. Well we figured we try fruits and veggies!
He has had peaches, sweet potatoes, and carrots! Well he didn't like the peaches too much, and he LOVED the sweet potatoes and liked the carrots OK.
I want to get him to eat veggies before fruit, they say that babies that have veggies before fruits liked eating vegetables later in life. We'll see :)

Well at the end there, I gave him the spoon and the mess multiplied!

So I have "Proud Momma News"! Ruben was asked to be Baby Jesus for the Anchorage Baptist Temple Christmas Pageant!! YAY! We have had rehearsals the last couple of nights and he has done AWESOME! No crying, or whining! Everybody has said that he is looking pretty cute up there and as his momma, I couldn't agree MORE! I will have pictures up later this week... So be on the look out!
My brother Jordan is back in town from Liberty! He is SO glad to be back... Ruben just LOVES is uncle. I guess today when I was at work (Sandor and Rob babysit) Ruben was fussy. They tried everything with no prevail, then Uncle Jordy stops by to say hi. What does Ruben do? He SMILES AND LAUGHS! Just wait until next summer when Jordan comes back and Ruben is RUNNING AROUND and has become Pa Paw's little sidekick! wow... I will be busy!

We are heading down to Homer on Sunday, and will be there until the day after Christmas. I'm in need of a Homer trip. I cant wait to see my girls and have time to relax!

We are the Yager's

So I am Ashleigh Yager, I was married to Sandor August 25th, 2007. Sandor was born and raised here in Alaska and grew up most of his life in Homer. He is an only child and graduated from high school when he was 15! I was born and raised in Alaska as well. I come from a famliy of 5 kids! There was ALWAYS something going on!

Since we have been married, we have gone out of the country, been on a road trip and got a new puppy. We have bought a new house, moved to a new town and back, AND we had a baby!
Ruben Sean was born July 11th, 2008! We found out that we were going to have him 4 months after we got married, I was already 3 months pregnant. The funny thing with all that was I was on birth control... So he was a God thing! He was 9lbs 2oz and 20 and 1/2 inches long... he was a chunk (still is) with loads of black hair!

Well he is pushing 20lbs now, and is 5 months old! He is rolling over, talking, and laughing all the time. He is eating his cereal twice a day and has tried peaches, sweet potatoes, and bananas!
He LOVES smiling to other people and is so fun to take out and about! He has been sleeping through the night since he was 2 months old and I AM BLESSED! He has made being a first time mom SO easy I and absolutely LOVE it, and wouldnt change it for the world!

Sandor and I are attending Anchorage Baptist Temple and love the people and friendships that we have built, all though we MISS our Homerites WAAAY TOO much :) But the wonderful world of texting and internet helps with that! Especially for my Haley and I! I always look foward to our trips to Homer, its a nice relaxing break with awesome friends!
Sandor is plugging away on his business Sparky's Land Works, he has been blessed with lots of snow so far this winter, plowing is definitely a love of his! Him and Rob are trying to win a new Fisher Plow through a video contest, when its time to vote I will post the website so you can help them WIN!
I am still working at Anchorage Christian Preschool, which I love my 6 hours a week! I close from 3-6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays... I love those kids! Even the ones that are naughty, and never obey!
Romeo and Maverick are the same ol' terds! Maverick almost made babies with a dog we found in Homer, but she has liver problems. Well maybe next time. We have a new cat Sushi... she is a talker and drinks out of the toilet! YAY! For animals... Sarcasim if you didnt get that :)
